Hello Sunshine!

Hey there blogging friends! Is everyone getting ready for Christmas? I haven't even started my shopping yet.
Today me, Janiel and Judy are using the Elisabeth Bell image "Hello Sunshine".  I bought mine from Quixotic Papers. This image can go for sooooo many cards.  This one is the birthday card I did for my daughter.  Can you see the one that is me? Yes, it is the girl with the craft goodies in her pocket! tee hee! Alyssa loved her card! As you know she turned 20 the other day.  No longer a teen. sniff, sniff!  I can see myself using this image a ton!!  Judy and Janiel love this image too so I can't wait to see how they work their magic on it!!! Always gorgeous work from those two!  So go see now what they did with it!

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Dena

Sugar Nellie DT - Leanne Ellis

Well, I'm back with another Sugar Nellie Christmas stamp.  This one is illustrated by Leanne Ellis and can be found here.
This is a very different look for me, but it was fun to work with.  I colored her in copics and used my cricut to cut out the holly leaves.  I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday.  It worked perfect for the idea I had for this stamp.
This is a short post, since I am going with the girls on a shopping trip today to celebrate a friend's birthday! Will be back later for on to blog hop.  I have been neglecting lately!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Sugar Nellie DT Diane Duda!

Well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! It is yucky and raining in Houston today, so perfect weather for me to stamp.
I just got back from my daughter's college.  It was her 20th birthday yesterday so I went and spent a couple of days with her.  We went with all her friends to go see New Moon at Midnight for the opening!  I am curious to see what you guys all think of the new movie.  I was expecting something a little different, but oh well.  It was pretty good.  The kid who plays Jacob is just adorable.  I have to say after this movie I am Team Jacob.  He was much better than pasty Edward. ha ha! I know by book 4 though I was Team Edward so we shall see.
Okay on to the card. This is one of Diane Duda new Christmas stamps that can be bought at Funky Kits.  Hurry though because there's not much time left before Christmas!
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers so I will be entering it there.  I love this type of sketch.  Nice and clean.
Anyhow, have a wonderful day wherever you are and give me your feedback on New Moon!

Colour Create # 32 - Red, Green, and White

Here is our wonderful color combination picture for this week set by Mina:

Oh yes! I was thrilled with this one!!!! Loving the good ole Christmas colors right now.  I know I will get tired of them soon, but for now LOVE IT!!!
Anyhow, everyone on the design team has made such wonderful things, please join us because you will have a chance to win a gift certificate from Simon Says!!! Love that store!
My card is extremely traditional.  I used papers from the Paper Studios.  Colored him with copics, and used lots of glitter on the ground and on the candy suckers.  This image is sooooo fun, I got him from Squigglefly. He just looks absolutely thrilled with his candy.  Reminds me of Willy Wonka where the candy is growing everywhere. ha ha!

Card Ingredients:

Stamps: Squigglefly digi
Inks: Copics
Papers: Paper Studios
Embellies: ribbon, red rhinestones, glitter
Tools: Sewing machine, EK Success Holly Punch

Penguin Love Mini Hop!

Well, hello there!!!!
Since we have received our Sugar Nellie DT kits. Janiel, Judy and myself decided to all use this Penguin Love stamp by Diane Duda.  They are just the sweetest little couple huh? Awe.....
I used my paper pack from Joann's again because I wanted to use the one with the penguins on it.  Can you see him?  I scalloped the edge of the card with some giant scissors I have from long ago. I did a little tearing and used a nestie and that's about it.  Very simple, but I like it!  Maybe I am just in a red phase. Could it be the holiday season coming?
Oh hey I even did the inside this time.

Nothing special, but hey....I need a little training on the insides. ha ha!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Tuesday! Now don't forget to go see what Judy and Janiel have done.  I am so anxious to see myself I just can't stand it!!! Love these talented girlies!

Sugar Nellie DT Gatefold Card!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a super weekend so far.  I plan on getting a few cards done and painting the game room.  Yay!
My card today is using the new Diane Duda Christmas stamps from Sugar Nellie.  You can buy them at Funky Kits.  This gorgeous image is called Peace Angel.  She is very artsy and I can see making all sorts of projects with her, like necklaces, shrink plastic, etc.  I am not very good with the artsy type of card, but thoroughly enjoyed working with her.
I crackled the image and the letters and used stickles around the nestie and the corner punches.  I used my new MS punch again.  Liking this little guy a lot!
I colored her with distressed inks and the paper is MME. The corners are a very deep purple even though they have a blackish look.

As you can see I made a gate fold card, but turned it up and down instead of side by side.  It is held together with the ribbon.

If you click on this last photo I think you can read the inside and it was perfect to fit for her.
Well, thanks for looking! If you use this image, please let me know so I can come take a look at what you have done.

Hugs, Dena
