Two Challenges

First, I wanted to show you my card for the Colour Create Challenge that started yesterday.  The colors are YELLOW, GREEN, and WHITE! The extra option is a charm (I totally forgot that one, sorry).

I colored with pencils and copics for this one.  A friend sent me this adorable image and I thought she would be perfect for the color challenge.  The papers are Imaginisce for the yellow  and S.E.I. for the green. I'm pretty sure.  They were scraps in my drawer.
I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page called Double Loops and Stardust Stickles all around. Those tiny little flowers on the embossed piece are the Hydrangeas from a MS punch and then I put some pretty little yellow rhinestones from Wild Orchid Crafts in the middle of each one.  My roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts also and the hydrangeas are from a friend.
I'm entering this card into the Belles and Whistles Challenge Blog where the theme is anything but winter!

Now for my dreaded Just Magnolia and Hanglar Stanglar card! Ugh!! I'm sorry but I really, really don't like it, but there just wasn't enough time for me to do another one.  Sometimes you find those papers that you think are sooooo pretty and then making a card with them is a nightmare!! Well, this was it! Our theme this week is "GOING DOTTY".

Gosh, these Bo Bunny papers were so pretty sitting on the little racks, calling my name  for me to buy them and then they just betrayed me!!!!  Maybe I will try again with the left overs, just in a different color scheme.

So a little bit about this card....Flowers are from, yep, you guessed it, Wild Orchid Crafts and the large turquise one is from Prima.  The brown leaves are Boss Kutz.  My Hanglar is colored with copics.

My teammates cards are all gorgeous, so go have a look and I hope you will want to join these two challenges.
Thank you for stopping by to visit.  I will see you soon!

hugs, Dena

Hi Dena

You've made my day!! I thought it was only me, that couldn't get my papers to 'work' together.

Ooops! Forgot to comment on the actual cards, I was so pleased that you have bad days too!

Anyway, LOVE the top one, and I think it's the larger patterned paper on the bottom one that doesn't 'work'. If only you could change it.

Another BIG hug

Good Morning, Dena!! Oh my gosh, what a darling little card that yellow and green is!!! So soft and sweet!! The maggie card is cute, too, and I would be thrilled to have it, but I know what you mean when you're just not happy with something!! But I do think it's cute!!!!

Well I like them both, Dena! Your lemon and lime confection is gorgeous. I have this image and she has never been inked (hang head in shame). I love how you have used the argyle embossing folder with the flowers and gems. This is stunning!
As for your hAnglar. It's a fabulous design - superbly coloured, beautifully stitched and the papers are lovely. Perhaps it is just the bright combination of turquoise and purple, sitting next to the softer colours of the first card on your post, with which you are struggling. I think its lovely! Big Hugs, Lesley

Hi Dena,
Don't be so hard on yourself! The first one is gorgeous, as is the second. But those colours are perhaps a bit out of your comfort zone perhaps. It's good to try something a bit different & challenge yourself, & you rocked it babe!!
Big Hugs,
