Hello there! How was your weekend? I hope it was great!
We are back today with a new challenge at Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge Blog. This time the theme is 'LOVE IS...'! Time to start making those Valentines.
You are not going to believe the gorgeous projects that the Design Team made for this one!!! OMG, they really are gorgeous!!! For some reason most of us did 3D items instead of cards! Anyhow, for mine, I decided to decorate an empty Hot Cocoa container.
This is the back side where the paper did not wrap quite all the way around so I used a little lace and a border punch to spruce it up a bit. The paper is Basic Grey and the image is a Sarah Kay colored in Distressed Inks. You can see the gorgeous Guipure lace I used from Wild Orchid on the top and bottom of the container.
The flowers I used are 40mm white curly wild roses, 2-tone baby pink tea roses, 10mm coffee open roses, 6mm pink closed rose buds.
Sorry I didn't get a better photo of the top. It is not the original container top. Instead I cut about 4 circles and glued them together and put a tab in the back so that it is part of the container but very easy to lift up and down with the ribbon loop. I added a doily and a paper flower and then topped it with a 15mm rose.
Check out our challenge and I hope you will join there is always a wonderful prize to be won!
Have a great day! Thank you for stopping by today!
