Just Magnolia and Hanglar Stanglar - Anything Goes!

Hello all! Do you ever have one of those days when a card just won't come together for you? OMG! I almost scraped this card so many times, but I had already colored the images and didn't want to waste all that time, so I searched around for different papers and ideas and this is what I came up with! haha!

My card today is for the new Just Magnolia and Hanglar Stanglar challenge.  Once a month we have a "ANYTHING GOES" challenge with an extra option and that is this week.  The extra option is BUTTONS.  I don't normally use buttons, so I am lacking a little. haha!

I have some sad news also..... the super talented Denise and Kathy have decided to step down from the team. I will miss both of them a ton!!  On the other hand we have the wonderfully talented Carol joining us! Welcome Carol.

Card Ingredients

Stamps:  Magnolia - Tilda as Shepherd and not sure of the scene name but it is Magnolia
Inks:  Copics
Paper:  Download and Apricot from CTMH
Embellies: Hip rosebuds, Paper blooms, Stamens, Organza ribbon and Heather stems all from Wild Orchid Crafts, Liquid pearls, pearl shape from local craft store, lots of glitter!
Tools:  Magnolia Doohickey-Antique Lace, MS Pine Branch Punch, Spellbinders

For the little side flowers I used the paper pack below from Wild Orchid and added stamens through the center and scrunched the bottom of the flower and sewed it.  It kinda looks like a daylily when you are done. I LOVE IT!!! hee hee!

There are some gorgeous creations at the Just Magnolia blog, you will love all the inspiration!

Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Hugs, Dena

  12. This is a gorgeous card. I have learned to be patient if I can't complete a card straight away and if I'm not totally happy with the way some papers are working together, I leave it for another day, but I guess it's difficult if it's got to be on your blog by a certain time. Have you put those pearls/beads on yourself? It must have taken ages.

  30. That is more like "Tilda the Wanderer". She wanders along the countryside along with her sheep. It's beautifully done by the way. Cheers!
