TGIF everyone!!! Yay! We get to have another challenge at Just Magnolia!!! I have found so many wonderful ideas while commenting on cards. You guys are awesome!! For this week we are using the Fabulous Bev's sketch. It's a great one that I know I will use again because it does not require thousands of layers and different DP. ha ha!
I also wanted to mention to everyone, that if you ever have a question about my card, feel free to ask. I keep NO crafting secrets and I will gladly tell you how I did something or where I got it. I don't always put details on my blog because I don't want to bore you. tee hee. On to my card:
Card Ingredients:
Stamp: Magnolia, Tilda with the Flowing Hair, Hoppy Easter Collection
Inks: Distress Inks
Paper: Bo Bunny, Jazmyne Collection
Tools: Sewing Machine, EK Success Frond punch, MS Double Loop Punch, Sizzix little tags, Cuddlebug folder
Embellies: Flat backed pearls from Jo, Wild Orchid Roses, lace from friend, Stardust Stickles
The girls at Just Magnolia told me a great way to color my flowers from Wild Orchid. I used a Mini Mister and put a few drops of distressed ink and then a few drops of water and waa laa! I used the same colors on the center flower as I used on her dress which was Dusty Concord and Victorian Velvet . It looks a little darker, but the shade IRL is the same.
Simon Says Stamp is now taking pre-orders for the new Fairytale Collection!!!! Yippee!!! They also carry so many of the Martha Stewart punches that I use and those mini misters for coloring your flowers. Be sure to check out their wonderful selection of goodies.
I sure hope you like my card. You guys are so sweet to visit me!
Big hugs, Dena

ReplyDeleteWell hun, you're just knocking out one gorgeous card after another. This is totally beautiful. Love the way the criss-cross theme carries on throughout the card. How do you make the oval frame from a straight line punch? It's such a stunning effect. Just love it all to bits!

Gorgeous card- your color is wonderful and I love the main oval being textured to mimic the BG paper- wonderful! So, I do have 2 questions- do you use Distress ink-reinkers to color, or do youused the ink off the pad-on watercolor paper? And, how did you get your MS punch to go into a circle-crimper or did you just cut notches in the paper??? Gorgeousness!!! TFS
ReplyDeleteDena,
