I have to tell you when I first saw that we were having this challenge, I about flipped. Yikes! I had no idea how to make an acetate card. I did do a little searching though and this is what I came up with.
So our challenge this week at Just Magnolia is simply to use acetate on your card. I did find stamping on the acetate a little "slippery". I messed up many times and just wiped the Stazon away with fingernail polish remover and tried again. I did have to decorate all 4 sides of the card to match.
Lately I have been giving a little run down of the distressed inks I use. Is this helpful? Let me know if it is and I will keep doing it. So for this card I used Tattered Rose shaded with Vintage Photo for the skin. The hair is all with Black Soot. The dress and shoes are Spun Sugar shaded with Aged Mahogany. Socks are given just a tiiiiiiny bit of Weathered Wood only around the edges. Flowers are Worn Lipstick and darker shade is Aged Mahogany. Shading around the image is Weathered Wood. All the greens are Bundled Sage and the basket is Walnut.
I punched tiny hydrangeas with my MS punch and added bling to the center and sprinkled those around the card. Stickles were added to the flowers and the ones in the air also.
You can see how I decorated all 4 sides in this picture.
Here's a picture of the little hydrangeas.
That's about it. Please be sure to see what all the Just Magnolia team did for their acetate cards.
Thank you for visiting me!!! See you soon!
Hugs, Dena
