Sugar Nellie Blog Hop!

Well, it's time for the Sugar Nellie Design Team and some guests to whip up some wonderful card recipes for you using the latest Christmas stamps! The hop starts at the Sugar Nellie Blog.  Be sure to start there so you don't miss anything. You never know, there may be some amazing candy to go along with the Christmas spirit!! (wink)

I have prepared a Christmas Coundown Easel Card.  The tutorial for this project can be found HERE.


In order to make this card, I started with the wonderful Manga Fairy Girl! Isn't she cute?!  I colored her with distressed inks and cut out.  I mixed her with some very Christmasy looking MME papers.

                           
Here is my recipe:

1 Manga Fairy Girl available at Funky Kits
2 MME Glitter papers
1 CTMH Gingham Green
1 Martha Stewart Layered Arches Border Punch
1 Martha Stewart Pine Branch Punch
Sprinkles of holly (Wild Orchid 3mm Pearls)
1 small Wild Orchid Poinsettia
1 Scalloped Circle Nestie for turning wheel
1 Labels 8 Nestie
Sprinkle on a little gold and stardust Stickles

A view of the turning wheel and necessary foam tape for height so the wheel can move.

    Love the whole idea of this easel card. Your layering is glorious with those colours & the colouring of the image works so superbly with them - that light green is a joy. I love the cheekiness you've coloured into the image too & as if butter wouldn't melt in the mouth too. Can just imagine htis little creature peeking out from under the tree.
