How are you today? My weekend was great (it was my birthday weekend) except.......remember how I told you about Houstonians not being able to drive in ice? Well, Alyssa got in a little wreck! She is fine and so is everyone that was involved, but what a scare! The front end of her car is destroyed. They actually hit a car that had spun out on the road and the lights were off and no hazards and the backend of their car had a limb through it and the front was still sticking out into the road and it was dark and they didn't see them, so wham! So, thank goodness she is safe though!! Other than that, things were super awesome and we had some great family time.
I got to make this card and was thrilled!!! I LOVE these images from Sugar Nellie. You can buy them at Funkykits. I also love that they are digi and a quick fix! haha! This one is called "Verity".
I colored her with copics and for once I remember a few colors:
Skin: E000, 00, 11
Shirt: R81, 85, 89, and RV000 in the sleeves
Pants: E43, 71, 77, 50
Shoes: E71, 77
The papers are Tim Holtz Shabby Vintage. I am so proud that I FINALLY used this Magnolia Peony Die. Here is what I did:
I used two of the larger pieces and 1 of the small one and then painted on Rock Candy Stickles and curled the edges and distressed them with Walnut Stain. In the center i added some of the new seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts and the color is PINK TULIP. The flower is a 15mm open rose also from Wild Orchid along with the pink flatbacked pearls.
The little punched edge piece has been run through a crimper so it look very ruffly. I saw this technique from a gal on Youtube that was from Stampin Up! She had a cool idea!
I am entering into Stamp Something - February Digi Day
Well, that's it for me today!
I would like to tell each and every one of you how much I appreciate the sweet emails and comments! You guys make my day and I hope to be visiting you guys this week!
May your day be blessed!
