Gift Idea!

Hello there everyone!  I posted this yesterday on the Wild Orchid Crafts blog. This is such an easy little project.  I know I like to swap goodies with our crafting friends and I bet you do the same. Well, here's a great way to present a few gift items.  I got the idea from my friend FREA who made a tealight pattern card HERE, but put flower shaped soaps in the box instead. This got me to thinking...... I didn't use a tealight card pattern, but just made my own little box with lid and then used score tape to secure it in place.


 
I started with a 5 1/2" x 12 piece of cardstock and gave it a 1" spine.
 
Make the box any size you need.
 
My bow is simply attached under the base of the outside and inside of the card to keep it closed.

I have added a few of the new metal corners and some gorgeous Classic Sweet Roses and  Wild Roses in the box and tied the card together with some 25mm organza ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts.  On the outside I have some another Classic Sweet Rose and some two-toned Cherry Blossoms with a small yellow open rose.

I've stitched and distressed the edges just a tad.  

I would like to enter this card into the 7 Kids College Challenge where the theme is Mardi Gras colors purple, green and yellow (I just toned it down a bit)  

I am going to the Galveston Mardi Gras parade tonight! I can't wait! I have never  been to one before and I want to go back for the Pet Parade on Sunday afternoon.  That should be super cute with all the pups dressed up!  I will take pictures if we go to that one and share with you.
