ENTERING CATEGORY #4 - MINI AND LARGE
I told you I was going to make something inspired by my Grandmaw again and it is a sugared egg. Every year, she would let me make them with her! We would put little scenes inside and this is what I have done here as best I could with a flat object. haha! I wish she was still around to see how she has inspired me!
I added double thickness foam tape on the back of the yellow paper to get some space inside. I used these adorable minis to decorate. This is what it looks like when it lays flat. Here I have used Chicken Tilda and Spring Tree from Magnolia-licious Store.
Oh so many embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts haha! What would I do without them??! I added the sweet little Tilda called "Tilda and Her Bunny" to the front.
My images are colored with copics and the papers are my very favorite Imaginisce. I know I seem to use them all the time!! Yellow and light blue are just so pretty together and I love the dainty little patterns in these two.
Maybe in this one you can see the sweet sentiment. So cute! I added the mini Two Eggs along the inside also. They were the perfect sized accessory!
I am entering this card into the Magnolia-licious Highlights Contest. I think this one will be entered into the minis category. If I am not following the rules by adding a large Tilda, please feel free to remove my entry. I used 3 minis so I thought it was better to enter into that category. Note, I have change the category to Large and Mini Magnolias combined!!! Thanks Diana for adding this category!
Sorry for so many photos, but it is really hard to show you everything from a computer. I like it so much better in real life. More than likely I will send this to my cousin. I know she remembers the sugared eggs, but she didn't do the crafting with Grandmaw like I did, but will still appreciate the memory.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my little project! I had a blast making it and going down memory lane while I did it. Doing things like this just really makes me miss my Grandparents. I loved them so very much! Ok, gotta run before I start boo hooing!
