Hello everyone! I know, I sure am slow at the crafting these days, but you know how you lose your mojo sometimes? Well, that has happened to me. I am in dire need of some Christmas cards, so I thought I would work on this little cutie from Lili of the Valley called "Girl Sledging". It's funny, because I guess in the UK they say sledging and here in the US we would say sledding. When I first saw that, I thought it was a typo haha! Anyhow, I am in a red/green mood it seems, so here is my card:
I think she is a DOLL!!!! Love how she is hanging on to the cute bunny too!
I colored her with..................Distress Markers! Yep, you heard me right! I definitely found the colors to be different than my refills. The red I used was Fired Brick, but it was a bit too orangey so I went over it with my refill Aged Mahogany to get a more true red for the papers. For the most part it was all done with the markers. Oh, I did shadows with Black Soot refills. Not sure I like them any better, but they are interesting to work with.
I used a snow texture in the corners and the border die is from Memory Box - Frostyville Border and the snowflakes are a Stampin Up die. I used the cute Christmas Grungy Messages from LOTV also, which have proven to be VERY popular. Oh let's not forget the paper pad Classic Christmas!
Here's a close up of the stamp. You know you love her!
Don't forget that Lili of the Valley now has those sweet Geisha girls for sale. Go have a look, they may just fall into your basket!
Have a super wonderful Fall day! The weather is so wonderful here, I stay outside most of the day.
Thank you for your visit!!
